LIEKSA BRASS WEEK 2013 FINLAND

Desde 1999 hasta hoy ya son 4 las veces que SPANISH BRASS participa en el más antiguo y respetado Festival de Metales del mundo (34 ediciones).

Since 1999 till today SPANISH BRASS have been 4 times at the LIEKSA BRASS WEEK, the oldest and more respected Brass Festival in the world (34 years)

En una pequeña localidad de la región de Karelia rodeada de lagos y bosques se encuentra LIEKSA, un espacio limpio, amable y amante de los metales. La gente local participa activamente en el festival de varias maneras, como voluntarios, colaborando en apoyar las actividades y vistiendo la camiseta oficial de la edición, haciendo ver lo importante que es para ellos lo que ocurre en la, posiblemente, semana más excitante del año.

In a small town in Karelia region surrounded by lakes and forests you'll find LIEKSA, a clean, friendly and brass music lovers place. The local people are actively involved in the festival in various ways, as volunteers, working to support the activities and wearing the official t-shirt of the current edition, noting how important it is to them what happens in the possibly most exciting week of the year .

Artistas de todo el mundo, un extraordinario concurso (tuba en esta edición) Master Clases, Musica de Cámara y especialmente los magníficos conciertos que se realizan en su centro cultural y en la preciosa y blanca iglesia de Lieksa.

Artists from around the world, an extraordinary contest (tuba in this issue) Master Classes, Chamber Music and especially the magnificent concerts that take place in its cultural center and the pretty white Church.

Nosotros participamos en el concierto de apertura, además realizamos dos conciertos más con programas diferentes, uno en el Centro Cultural y el otro en la iglesia.

We participate in the opening concert, and perform two more concerts with different programs, one at the Cultural Center and the other in the Church.

Aunque en otras ediciones ya estuvimos dando clases, en esta ocasión hemos tenido una una clase de trompeta extraordinaria, ocho trompetistas fineses con los que hemos pasado 3 horas al día trabajando duro. Aquí os dejo algunas fotos divertidas de la clase (perdón por la baja calidad, algunas se tomaron con teléfonos). 

Although other issues we were already teaching, this time we have had a remarkable trumpet class, eight finish trumpeters with whom we spent 3 hours a day working hard. Here you have some fun photos of the class (sorry for the low quality, some were taken with phone).
